Public Works crews focus on reducing flood risks before Hurricane Ian

Local residents weren’t the only ones preparing for Hurricane Ian on Tuesday. Crews from the city and county’s public works departments have been making storm preparation efforts as well.

Residents bag up in prep for Hurricane Ian

With Hurricane Ian barreling toward Florida, Columbia County residents are getting into full storm-preparedness mode. While the Columbia County Public Works Department was scheduled to open sandbag stations at 7 a.m.

LSHA: Hospital ready for storm emergency

The Lake Shore Hospital could house patients again this week in an emergency. During its meeting Monday, the Lake Shore Hospital Authority board unanimously approved opening the facilities on campus if a need arose from other areas in the state for a hospital facility.
