County provides funds to students, Mikesville center

The Columbia County Board of County Commissioners was in a giving mood at the beginning of its Thursday meeting. During presentations from Fort White Middle/High School, as well as the Mikesville Community Center, the board gave each $5,000 toward their respective aims.

Lake City native named NASPA president

Clearing room for Tractor Supply

The landscape along the eastern end of Duval Street has significantly changed in the past few days, as mounds of dirt, heavy machinery and signs of construction have replaced trees and grass in the lot east of the Save A Lot supermarket in Lake City.

Catholic Charities gearing up for fundraising push

The local Catholic Charities office is in the midst of a campaign that was launched to promote awareness and create a month-long effort of collecting food donations to aid local families in need.
