FORT WHITE — Chance Johnson and Carter Wheeler continue to be neck and neck in the race to be Fort White’s starting quarterback.The two rising sophomores, or whichever one wins the job outright, will likely be the youngest members of the offense all season.

LIVE OAK — There wasn’t any doubt in Haigen Johnson’s mind.After the junior quarterback transferred from Hamilton County to Suwannee in the spring, Johnson always believed he would be starting when the Bulldogs opened the 2026 season with a Kickoff Classic against Madison County on Aug. 14.

LIVE OAK — Entrenched in the heart of Suwannee’s lineup, Easton O’Quinn faced outsized expectations as a freshman.The hoopla, though, didn’t faze the Bulldogs’ third baseman, who hit .333 with a pair of home runs, 20 runs scored and 21 RBIs, earning freshman All-American honors from MaxPreps.
