FORT WHITE — The Indians know exactly who to key in on come Friday.  Baker County has made that abundantly clear throughout the season.  The Wildcats come into Arrowhead Stadium for a regular-season finale at 7:30 p.m.

LIVE OAK — Suwannee’s season finale promises to get wild Thursday night. Two weeks after senior quarterback Thomas Sikes’ season was shut down due to an ongoing ankle injury, junior signal caller Koy Frier is likely to miss the Bulldogs’ 7 p.m.

PREP VOLLEYBALL: Bucs right the ship to top Union County for third straight Region 3-R title

BRANFORD — The Bucs had that familiar feeling again. Two of them, in fact.  For the fourth time this season, No. 3 seed Union County stood in the way between No. 1 seed Branford and its continued greatness on the court.

BOYS GOLF: Lafayette wins playoff for runner-up finish at District 3-1A tournament

Lafayette won a playoff against Florida High on Tuesday to finish runner-up at the District 3-1A tournament at Quail Heights. The Hornets finished with a 318 total, 17 strokes behind champion Maclay, to punch their ticket to regionals.

GIRLS GOLF: Donaldson, Columbia each extend district title streaks

Faced with an overcast, misty morning, Suwannee senior Ryan Donaldson shifted her mindset heading into the District 2-2A tournament. Without a picture perfect day, Donaldson’s focus Tuesday at Quail Heights Country Club was to stay patient and not let the cool weather impact her play.

ANALYSIS: Columbia has a discipline problem that needs fixing ASAP

Columbia may be 8-1 and set for a playoff berth, but the team’s discipline needs work. Fast. The Tigers once again committed too many penalties during Friday’s 21-0 win over Clay. They were flagged 13 times for 123 yards, including five 15-yarders.

PREP SPORTS: Suwannee inducts 4 more into Hall of Fame

LIVE OAK — The path to the Suwannee High Sports Hall of Fame began with other Hall of Famers seeing an early glimpse of greatness for a pair of last week’s inductees. For the other two newcomers into the SHS Hall, perhaps their key was ignoring the thoughts of a now fellow Hall of Famer.

BOYS GOLF: Suwannee finishes runner-up at District 2-2A tournament again

CRAWFORDVILLE — A District 2-2A runner-up finish Monday had Suwannee looking back to last year as it moves forward. Much like a year ago, the Bulldogs’ district title hopes were dashed at Wakulla Sands Golf Club, this time finishing two strokes behind Santa Fe’s 296 total for the runner-up finish.

PREP VOLLEYBALL: Branford advances to Region 3-R championship

Lalyn Sikes and Mylie Fernandez each delivered 10 kills to lead No. 1 seed Branford to a 25-11, 25-13, 25-14 sweep over No. 4 seed Aucilla Christian at home in the Region 3-R semifinals Saturday afternoon.
