No team has been able to stop Columbia this month. Lowndes couldn’t Thursday night either. Another balanced effort paced the Tigers in a 26-24, 25-19, 13-25, 25-13 win over the Vikings at home for their ninth straight victory.

Not much has changed at Trinity Christian, not even in the two seasons Columbia head coach Brian Allen was away from coaching. The Conquerors are still a state title contender. They still run the same offense and the same defense. And they’re still loaded with college prospects.

GIRLS GOLF — Columbia 176, Branford 252, Taylor County 261: Alison O’Brien shot a 37 for medalist honors while Karlee Gainey finished with a 38 to lead the Tigers to victory in a tri-match against the Buccaneers and Bulldogs on Monday at Quail Heights.
