SCSO: O’Brien man tries to run down family member twice

O’BRIEN — A family dispute turned serious Saturday when an O’Brien man allegedly tried to hit a family member with his vehicle before chasing him with a knife. According to the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office, 27-year-old Anthony Perkins argued with the victim around 1:20 p.m.

Spring-break partying falls victim to covid-19 crisis

FORT LAUDERDALE — Goodbye, sunshine. Hello, study sessions.  Colleges around the U.S. are scaling back spring break or canceling it entirely to discourage partying that could spread the virus and raise infection rates back on campus.

Siegmeister ordered back to Florida in U.S. Marshal custody

Labeled a flight risk, Jeff Siegmeister was denied bond Thursday in federal court in Arizona. Siegmeister, the former state attorney for Florida’s Third Judicial Circuit, was also ordered to appear in the Middle District of Florida — he is to be transported back to Florida in custody of the U.S.
