Rush Limbaugh, ‘voice of American conservatism,’ has died

Rush Limbaugh, the talk radio host who ripped into liberals and laid waste to political correctness with a merry brand of malice that made him one of the most powerful voices on the American right, influencing the rightward push of conservatism and the rise of Donald Trump, died Wednesday.

LIVE OAK — A landfill fire sparked by a busted hydraulic line Tuesday afternoon inundated Interstate 10 with smoke. The Florida Highway Patrol issued an advisory at 5 p.m.

Pelosi: Independent commission will examine riot

WASHINGTON — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Monday that Congress will establish an independent, Sept. 11-style commission to look into the deadly insurrection that took place at the U.S. Capitol.

High Springs man sentenced to 15 years for drug trafficking

Torrey Tythoneus White of High Springs has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to numerous drug trafficking and firearm charges. Lawrence Keefe, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida, announced the sentence, which was handed down on Monday.
