13 locals honored among NFC oustanding students

MADISON — North Florida College (NFC) honored outstanding students and student leaders during its Honors Convocation ceremony last week, including seven from Suwannee County, three from Hamilton County and three from Lafayette County.

LIVE OAK — Finding a new use for a hand tool landed a Live Oak woman in jail Tuesday. According to a Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office report, 68-year-old Cynthia Platt was involved in a verbal dispute with a victim outside her residence on 122nd Street just south of Live Oak around 4 p.m. Tuesday.

LIVE OAK — After not realizing a tent could catch fire, a Live Oak man faces arson charges. Following an early morning dispute Wednesday with a homeless woman that stays on his property, Robbie Gagnon, 38, proceeded to light the tent on fire with the woman inside it around 4 a.m.
