Women’s Club building getting new HVAC system

BOCC: DOGE should look at state waste

The Columbia County Commission chairman trashed any talk of additional waste coming into the county’s landfill.

LCHS hosting cooking fundraiser

Hammer wake-up call lands woman in jail

A Lake City woman was arrested Wednesday morning after giving a sleeping victim an unwanted wake-up call — repeated shots to the face with a hammer. Tamirria Jackson, 32, was charged with burglary of an occupied structure and attempted second degree murder.

Barbers’ bash attracts crowd

The local back-to-school effort reached its peak last weekend when more than 1,000 people gathered in the Richardson Community Center to collect free school supplies and haircuts during the 10th annual Community Barbers giving back event.
