A walk in the park: Humane Society planning for dog park addition

Property owned by the Lake City-Columbia County Humane Society is going to the dogs — literally. Trees have been cleared and lands are being prepped on the western side of the Humane Society’s property for the addition of a dog park.

Fire inflicts ‘considerable damage’

LIVE OAK — A house nearly 100 years old sustained “considerable damage” in a fire Monday morning. The Live Oak Fire Department responded to the call of a fire on Lisle Ave. NE near Duval St. around 9 a.m. Monday.
