The Lake Shore Hospital Authority is looking to sew up the last few steps of a deal that would finally bring healthcare back to its campus. The LSHA board is set to meet Monday at 5:15 p.m. with only a handful of items on its agenda.

Florida Gateway College is throwing itself one big birthday bash. To culminate its year-long 75th anniversary celebration, the college has planned a 75th Anniversary Gala at the Howard Conference Center on Saturday, May 20.

The public will now get more bang before it has to put up a buck for records from the City of Lake City. At Wednesday’s special Lake City Council meeting, the council unanimously approved a new public records policy for the city.

Event set to ‘Round-Up’ hazardous waste

An annual toxic waste disposal event is returning with a new location and the same promise to safely dispose of unwanted clutter. The Columbia County Toxic Round-Up event is set to return on Saturday, April 8, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Winfield Solid Waste Facility, located at 1347 Oosterhoudt Ln.
