Dog shooting leads to arrest for LC man

Three months after shooting a neighbor’s dog to keep him out of the garbage, a Lake City man faces charges for animal cruelty. Bradley Harris, 43, was arrested Tuesday for torturing or inflicting serious pain to an animal. According to a Columbia County Sheriff’s Office report from Oct.

The sounds of 80s music, as well as gospel, rock and roll, country western and even hip hop, will fill the air this weekend during a singing competition. The 13th annual Southside Idol will take place 6 p.m. Saturday at the Florida Gateway College Levy Performing Arts Center.

Deeding over the hospital on the Lake Shore campus will take at least a little longer as the Lake Shore Hospital Authority attempts to deal with one last piece of property holding up the transfer.

Lake City firefighters pulled a man from a burning mobile home Monday morning on NW Ridgewood Avenue. According to reports, the fire occurred around 11 a.m.

One person was flown to an area hospital after a house fire late Monday morning. According to a Lake City Police Department release, firefighters from the Lake City Fire Department entered the residence on NW Ridgewood Avenue around 11 a.m. and found one person inside.
