PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD/BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEMBER
The Planning and Zoning Board/Board of Adjustment recommends Principals and Policies for guiding action affecting development in the county. Recommends to the Board of County Commissioner’s ordinances, regulations, and other proposals promoting orderly development along the lines indicated as desirable by the Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Regulations. Vacancies in Planning and Zoning/Board of Adjustment membership shall be appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. A member must be a resident of Columbia County. No member of the Planning and Zoning Board/Board of Adjustment shall be paid or elected official employee of the county. The term of office shall be for three (3) years.

REQUEST FOR VOLUNTEERS COLUMBIA COUNTY
The North Florida Water Utility Authority is seeking volunteer board members for the following position:
NORTH FLORIDA WATER UTILITY AUTHORITY
The North Florida Water Utility Authority Board (NFWUA) is established pursuant to the provisions of Section 163.01, Florida Statutes. The participating Counties are authorized, pursuant to Section 125.01(1), Florida Statutes, to independently exercise the powers of the North Florida Water Utility Authority agreement. The NFWUA shall be managed by a Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is charged with fulfilling the purposes and goals of the NFWUA Agreement by providing water, wastewater, and reclaimed water maintenance and operational services to the Counties’ respective water, wastewater, and reclaimed water facilities. The Board shall make policies for the administration, fees, rates, charges, collections, enforcement, operation, maintenance, extension, enlargement, development, replacement, and repair of these utility systems.
The North Florida Water Utility Authority is seeking to fill two positions. To qualify for these appointments, interested persons must reside in one of the participating Counties. The term of appointment shall be for one (1) year, with availability for reappointment for up to two (2) years, or until a successor is appointed. Board members serve as volunteers without compensation. The Board shall meet monthly, alternating between Live Oak and Lake City.
