Teaming up for a Sustainable Suwannee

Corn growers in the heart of Florida family farm country took a big personal risk this year to keep the Suwannee River a little cleaner. They cut fertilizer use by hundreds of thousands of pounds so less would sink past their plants and into the aquifer and river we rely on for drinking water.

Pfizer asks FDA to allow covid-19 vaccine for kids under 5

WASHINGTON — Pfizer on Tuesday asked the U.S. to authorize extra-low doses of its covid-19 vaccine for children under 5, potentially opening the way for the very youngest Americans to start receiving shots as early as March.

LIVE OAK — Needing a ride is not an emergency. According to a Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office report, a West Palm Beach man learned that lesson during the overnight hours Monday, leading to his arrest after repeated calls to 911.

Black takes cake as Teacher of the Year
