LIVE OAK — A fishing lake in Suwannee County will be closed for a week for cleanup.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission announced Thursday that the Suwannee Lake Fish Management Area will be closed to the public from Wednesday through Oct. 25 for storm debris cleanup following Hurricane Idalia, which impacted the area on Aug. 30.

The 63-acre man-made lake that is filled with cypress trees and largemouth bass, is located at 7882 91st Road east of Live Oak. A license is required to fish at the lake, which is state owned.
