‘Trumptilla’ celebrates president

Trump supporters took to the river Sunday afternoon in a show of support for the president. Hundreds of people showed up to a pro-Trump boat rally, journeying along the Santa Fe and Suwannee Rivers to Fanning Springs, said Jennifer Strickland Williamson, one of the organizers.

Spidey seeks social justice in Lake City

More than 100 people gathered outside City Hall Monday to hear Spiderman plead for racial justice in Lake City and America. The crowd was big enough for Spiderman, aka Todd Franklin, a 22-year-old recent Atlanta transplant, to need a bullhorn to be heard.

Man drowns in Live Oak

LIVE OAK — With the help of a Columbia County Sheriff’s Office dive team, Suwannee County deputies have recovered the body of a man believed to have drowned Sunday at Little River Springs on the Suwannee River.  The man, whose identity was unavailable as of press time, was 28 years old.

Antibody tests for covid-19 are readily available — all you have to do is donate some blood.  LifeSouth announced last week that it would begin administering the tests to all eligible donors. The tests can give a person an idea whether they’ve had the virus, but it is not a surefire method.
Participants should refrain from eating, drinking or using tobacco products for two hours before testing. Water is OK.
