Adam Sanders struggled to contain his biggest secret for about eight months. But following Sunday’s finale of ‘The Road’ on CBS, the singer-songwriter can breathe a little easier. Sanders was voted the country music reality show’s inaugural winner Sunday night.

FORT WHITE — Youngsters in Fort White added a new tradition to their Christmas celebration by eating pancakes, sausage and other breakfast items during a breakfast with Santa event.

Santa, elves visit assisted living facilities

Residents at several local assisted living facilities played host to a visiting Saint Nicolas, his wife and elves this past weekend. Santa and his crew of visitors showed up at The Canopy, an assisted living facility in Lake City, around 4 p.m.

Local last minute Christmas shopping in Walmart came to an abrupt halt Sunday morning when units from the Lake City Fire Department were summoned to the store to douse a blaze. According to LCFD reports, at 10:50 a.m.

A 12-year-old special needs child was saved from the roof of PetSmart after going missing Wednesday night. After officers from the Lake City Police Department were called to the store around 9:30 p.m.
