A line of more than 10 vehicles was parked on the street near the gates of the Christian Service Center before 9 a.m. Monday, patiently waiting for the facility’s gate to open.

Local artwork, holiday jewelry and an opportunity to fellowship with other people drew a crowd to downtown art galleries and businesses Thursday afternoon. The crowd was drawn to the area for the inaugural Downtown Art Stroll, where local art venues were highlighted.

Christian Duhart was on cloud nine and the smile on his face alone told how happy he was. Earlier in the day, he met up with Lake City Police Officer Lt. Garrett Register and the two trekked through the aisles of Walmart as Duhart searched for Christmas gifts.
