— Newberry 7, Branford 3: Dawson Cannon hit a 2-run home run to help the Buccaneers (1-4) tie the game in the top of the sixth inning, but the Panthers (4-1) answered with four runs in the bottom half of the frame to pick up the home win. Gavin Barnes allowed the four runs in the sixth, two of which were earned, to take the loss. Tucker Floyd received a no-decision after pitching four innings where he allowed three earned runs on three hits and five walks while striking out four.
