BOYS WEIGHTLIFTING

— Fort White 82, Hamilton County 33, Taylor County 24, Oak Hall 9: The Indians topped the Trojans, Bulldogs and Eagles in a quad meet at home behind seven first-place lifters, which included Mathew Koontz in the 119 class (315 total), Wyatt Holton at 129 (320 total), Bryce Bailey at 139 (335 total), Hayden McCrory at 169 (475 total), Christian Gentry at 183 (470 total), Lecosta Byrd at 219 (545 total) and James Dimauro at unlimited (630 total). Second-place lifters for FWHS included Cason Johnson at 139 (315 total), Maliki Clark at 169 (460 total), William Allison at 183 (410 total), Tristen Johnson at 199 (485 total), David Harpes at 219 (480 total), Trey Tyre at 238 (470 total) and Robert McIntyre at unlimited (520 total). Max Eyjolfsson 370 total at 154), Bryson Major (465 total at 199) and Keyen Rossin (430 total at 238) placed third for the Indians.

BASEBALL

— Bell 2, Fort White 1: Aaron Parnell tied the game with an RBI knock in the top of the fifth as part of a 2-of-3 night that included a triple and a double, but the Bulldogs (3-2) answered in the bottom half of the inning before holding off the Indians (2-4) at home. Matthew Pitts pitched five innings in the loss for FWHS, allowing both runs — one earned — on three hits and three walks with nine strikeouts.

— Lafayette 9, Trenton 7: The Hornets (6-0) outlasted the Tigers (2-4) in 13 innings on the road.

SOFTBALL

— Columbia 15, Hamilton County 8: Josie Raulerson went 3 for 4 with two doubles in three RBIs in her season debut while also pitching five innings as the starter in the circle, allowing six runs — four earned — on three walks with four strikeouts to help the Tigers (1-4) edge the Trojans (0-6) on the road for their first win of the season. Lillyenne Mahyew also delivered three RBIs on a 2-for-4 night, while Kimber Long had two RBIs with two doubles on a 3-for-4 night. CHS finished with 19 hits and also got an RBI apiece from Anna Dansby, Amani Tunsil, Ava Christie, Emily Delgado, Lauryn Lee and Addyson Sherman.

— Suwannee 14, Chiefland 4: Rachel Smith went 3 for 4 with a triple, four RBIs and four runs scored, while Braylyn Federico also had four RBIs to lead the Bulldogs (3-2) to a road over the Indians (1-5). Gracie Watley added two RBIs, Felicity May and Abbey Ranck each drove in one run, and Brianna Woods scored four times on a 3-for-3 night. Watley also pitched a complete game in the circle, finishing with nine strikeouts while allowing four earned runs on eight hits and a walk.
