NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City Council Ordinance No. 2024-2271, which title hereinafter appears, will be considered for enactment on second and final reading by the City Council of the City of Lake City, Florida, at public hearing on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matters can be heard. The City of Lake City will hold the May 20, 2024 meeting in the City Council Chambers located on the second floor of City Hall at 205 North Marion Avenue, Lake City, Florida 32055.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAKE CITY, FLORIDA, RELATING TO COMPENSATION OF THE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL; AMENDING ARTICLE II SECTION 2-53 OF THE CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES; PROVIDING DEFINITIONS; PROVIDING FOR COMPENSATION AMOUNTS; PROVIDING FOR PROCEDURES TO ADJUST COMPENSATION AMOUNTS; PROVIDING DIRECTION FOR CODIFICATION OF THIS ORDINANCE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

The Board of County Commissioners (County) will receive sealed proposals in the office of Commissioners, 135 NE Hernando Avenue, Suite 203, Lake City, FL 32055, until 3:00 PM local time on JUNE 17, 2024 for the following: SW QUAIL RIDGE CT
Project work will consist of milling existing pavement, then placing limerock and mixing in place SW Quail Ridge Ct, being a 20’ wide pavement section (2-10’ travel lanes), and placement of new asphalt pavement in a single course 1) structural – 165 lbs/sy. The length is approximately 3475 LF or 0.66 miles.
Scope of work includes milling, limerock placement, mixing in place, finishing mixed base,
grading, asphaltic concrete pavement, erosion control, grassing, painted pavement markings, and incidental items.
The Bid Forms and specifications may be obtained from the County’s web site at http://www.columbiacountyfla.com/PurchasingBids.asp. Deadline for questions regarding construction plans, specifications, and/or bid documents must be received before 5:00 P.M. on JUNE 10, 2024.
The successful bidder, if applicable, will be required to furnish the County Manager with a 5% bid bond with submittal, and if selected, furnish the County Manager with a performance bond and proof of liability insurance prior to commencing work.
