DeSantis discusses Idalia’s potential impacts

Gov. Ron DeSantis discusses the potential impacts from Hurricane Idalia at the Columbia County Combined Communications Center on Tuesday. The storm is expected to make landfall in the Big Bend area of Florida early Wednesday.

Sandbags available in prep for Hurricane Ian

Residents can pick up sandbags now at four sites in Columbia County and Lake City (Columbia County Public Works, Southside Sports Complex, Fort White Community Center and Lake City Public Works). Sandbag sites also open in Live Oak and Mayo.
