From the basic mechanics of forehands and backhands to advanced tennis techniques such as serves and volleys, dozens of local youngsters learned tennis basics in a camp that took place this month.
The James Montgomery Summer Tennis Camp has been taking place for the past few weeks at the tennis courts in Youngs Park. This was the 10th year of the camp.
“The purpose of the camp is to introduce tennis to youngsters and to advance those that have been coming before to help to develop their skills further,” said Mike Null, Lake City Columbia Community Tennis Association.
