No. 2 seed Union County won the first two sets before edging No. 3 seed Lafayette 3-1 (25-22, 25-21, 20-25, 25-23) in the Region 3-1A semifinals at home Friday night.

The win sends the Tigers (12-12) to a matchup at top-seeded Branford in the Region 3-1A finals on Tuesday, while the season is over for the Hornets (12-8).
