Columbia girls swimmer Casey Fair won the District 2-3A title in the 100 backstroke on Tuesday with a time of 1:05.42, and she also punched her ticket to regionals in the 100 butterfly thanks to a runner-up finish with a time of 1:03.78.
Fair’s time in the 100 backstroke has her seeded 18th for the Region 1-3A meet on Oct. 29, while she’ll be seeded 13th for the 100 backstroke.
The girls 200 medley relay team (Casey Fair, Brie Fair, Lucianna Tonetti, Izzy Scott,) and 200 freestyle relay team (Casey Fair, Brie Fair, Blythe Harrell, Izzy Scott) are alternates for regionals following a pair of fifth-place finishes at districts with times of 2:10.14 (18th fastest in region) and 1:54.93 (17th fastest in region), respectively.
Columbia’s girls swim team placed fourth at the District 2-3A meet, while the boys finished eighth.
