Jace Moran went 2 for 4 with a triple and three RBIs to lead Suwannee’s baseball team to a 10-1 win over Wolfson at Booster Field on Friday night.
Noah Lopez and Gabe Garcia added two RBIs apiece, while Hampton Newman added another for the Bulldogs (3-2). Garcia also pitched four innings for the win, allowing an unearned run on two hits and two walks while striking out three batters.
Caleb Camden suffered the loss for the Wolfpack (2-3) after giving up six runs — four earned — on four hits and four walks in two innings.
SOFTBALL
— Suwannee 9, Chiefland 3: Maylee Gabey went 3 for 4 with three RBIs while Gracie Watley drove in two runs to lead the Bulldogs (1-1) past the Indians (0-4) at home Friday night. Addison Peterson and Gabby Rodriguez added an RBI each for SHS, which got a stellar start in the circle from Watley where she struck out 13 batters while allowing zero runs on three hits and a walk. Anna Jane Meeks allowed six runs — one earned — on four hits and four walks with four strikeouts for CHS.
— Branford 12, Union County 2: Victoria Swain went 4 for 4 with three RBIs while Alex Whitfield went 3 for 3 with a triple and three RBIs to lead the Buccaneers (2-1) to a run-rule victory over the Tigers (1-2) in five innings at home Friday night. Cloey Criggall, Madyson Sikes, Mallory Blue and Hunter Revis all had an RBI each as well off UCHS starting pitcher Emma Handley, who gave up seven earned runs on 11 hits and four walks while striking out five. Laila Arnold pitched all five innings in the circle for the win for BHS, allowing zero earned runs on three hits while striking out six.
— Santa Fe 13, Lafayette 4: J’Lyn Guyden and Ainslea Kelsoe each had three RBIs to lead the Raiders (2-0) past the Hornets (2-1) in Mayo on Friday. LHS pitcher Khloe Crotts allowed 10 runs — eight earned — on 15 hits while striking out two batters. Kambry Moseley had two RBIs while Clara Knight drove in one run to lead the Hornets offensively.

— Suwannee 14, Lincoln 0: Alaira Handy and Cherish Sutton each had a pick-6 to lead the Bulldogs (2-0) to a shutout win over the Trojans (0-2) on the road Friday night.
