Columbia’s girls swim team topped Baker County, Hilliard and Union County in a quad match, while the boys finished third.
The Tigers won seven events, all from the girls team. Individual victories included Brie Fair in the 100 backstroke (1:14.17) and 100 breaststroke (1:22.37), Izzy Scott in the 50 freestyle (29.15) and Casey Fair in the 100 butterfly (1:08.94).
The Fair sisters also swam on the winning 200 medley relay team with Luciana Tonetti and Blythe Harrell (2:11.90), and the Fairs sisters and Harrell swam on the winning 200 freestyle relay team with Scott (1:56.75). Annie Glenn and Savannah Summerall also swam with Tonetti and Scott on the winning 400 freestyle relay team (4:55.20).
BOYS GOLF
— Big Bend Championship: Suwannee placed third out of 15 teams with a 311 behind Lincoln (293) and Chiles (303) thanks to a 3-over-75 by Ty Hurst, who tied individually for fifth place. Dawson Wooley tied for seventh with a 76, while Carter Cannon finished tied with 14th with a 79 and William Slaughter tied for 20th with an 81.
GIRLS GOLF
— Columbia 164, Branford 233, Gainesville 282: Megan Ruwe shot a 38 for medalist honors to lead the Tigers to victory over the Buccaneers and Hurricanes at Quail Heights. Alison O’Brien was a stroke behind her with a 39, while Estella Bauer carded a 42 and Angelina Goes finished with a 45 for CHS. Claire Bond led BHS with a 39, while Liberty Ward had a 58, Lily Cochran had a 64 and Ashley Keane had a 65.
VOLLEYBALL
— Branford 3, Dixie County 0: The Class Rural No. 2 Buccaneers improved to 17-3 with a 25-16, 25-17, 26-24 sweep of the Bears (7-11) on the road.
— Suwannee 3, Hamilton County 0: The Bulldogs improved to 11-6 with a sweep of the Trojans (5-8) at home.
— First Christian 3, Fort White 0: The Indians (3-7) were swept by the Lions (14-0) 25-15, 25-18, 25-17 in a road loss.
