— Columbia 12, Forest 6: Carston Palmer went 3 for 3 with a double and four RBIs, Camdon Frier had three RBIs on a 3-for-4 night, and Brayden Thomas drove in three more runs to lead the Tigers (11-2) past the Wildcats (6-5) at home Thursday night for their fourth straight win. Hayden Gustavson also had an RBI for CHS. Ayden Phillips pitched four innings to pick up the victory, allowing two earned runs on one hit and one walk with three strikeouts.
— Suwannee 19, Leesburg 1: Xaedyn Kirkland, Patrick Williams and Ethan Layton each had three RBIs to lead the Bulldogs (4-5) to a run-rule victory over the Yellow Jackets (0-9) in five innings on the road Thursday night. Braxtyn Green and AJ Hitt added two RBIs each, while Logan Brooks and Easton Kirby had one apiece. Dillon Greene pitched three innings for the victory, allowing no runs on a hit and a walk with a pair of strikeouts.
SOFTBALL
— Aucilla Christian 2, Lafayette 1: Two unearned runs off Emma Swann allowed the Warriors (5-2) to squeak past the Hornets (2-10) at home Thursday night. Swann’s two unearned runs came in two innings of work where she allowed three hits and two walks while striking out three. Kambry Moseley had the lone RBI for LHS.
