BASEBALL

— Madison County 6, Suwannee 4: The Bulldogs (4-3-1) led 4-2 after two innings but watched the Cowboys (5-3) rally with run in the fourth, another in the fifth and two in the sixth to pick up a win at home.

— Lafayette 6, Cottondale 4: The Hornets (9-1) held off a late surge by CHS (6-2) — which scored three runs in the seventh inning — to win their third straight at home.

SOFTBALL

— Lafayette 8, Hamilton County 7: The Hornets (7-7) scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, then held on after surrendering a run in the seventh to rally past the Trojans (0-10) at home.
