— Union County 7, Suwannee 1: Logan Brooks allowed four runs — two earned — on three hits and two walks with three strikeouts in six innings of work, but the Bulldogs (1-5) fell to the Tigers (7-1) at home Tuesday night. Braxtyn Green had the lone RBI for SHS, which was held to four hits in a fifth straight loss.
— Branford 15, Bronson 1: The Buccaneers (3-3) run-ruled the Eagles (6-4) in five innings Tuesday night for a road win. Caden Coker had three RBIs, Andres Maysonet and Tucker Floyd each had two RBIs, and Dawson Cannon and Gavin Barnes each had one RBI. Thomas Sikes pitched three innings for the win, allowing no runs on two hits and two walks with three strikeouts.
— Lafayette 5, Trenton 3: The Hornets (6-1) broke a 3-3 tie with two runs in the fifth inning to hand the Tigers (8-1) their first loss of the season at home Tuesday night. Dawson Mock and Hunter Vann both had two RBIs, which included a home run by Vann. Matthew Jenkins got the win in the start, pitching innings with three runs — two earned — allowed on three hits and two walks with six strikeouts.
SOFTBALL
— Lafayette 19, Hamilton County 13: The Hornets (2-8) broke a 12-12 tie with a seven-run seventh inning to beat the Trojans (3-4) on the road Tuesday night, snapping a seven-game losing streak. Taryn Maund went 4 for 5 with a double and five RBIs, while Jaley Moseley had three RBIs and Emma Revels hit a solo home run. Kambry Moseley delivered two RBIs, and Clara McKnight, Gloria Gilliam and Sidney Wimberley each added an RBI. Gilliam got the win in relief, pitching 2 2/3 innings with one unearned allowed on three hits and a walk with three strikeouts.
