PREP ROUNDUP: Scores and stats from 1/23/26

District tournaments continued for soccer on Friday, plus area basketball teams were in action as well.

Here are the scores and stats for Jan. 23.

GIRLS SOCCER

— Clay 4, Columbia 2: The No. 1 seed Blue Devils topped the 4-seed Tigers in the District 3-5A semifinals at Clay. Clay (9-3-2) finally broke through with a goal after the first-half water break and outshot Columbia (8-9-2) throughout while holding them off in the second half despite 28 saves from goalkeeper Sadie Sparks. Laelle Thompson scored a goal off an assist from Jenavieve Farer for the Tigers while Sydney Agner added the other goal on a penalty kick. The season is now over for Columbia while Clay advances to the district championship next week.

— Branford 2, Lafayette 0: Two goals in the second alf lifted the No. 3 seed Buccaneers (8-9-5) over the 2-seed Hornets (5-10-2) in the District 2-2A semifinals in Mayo. BHS advances to face Dixie County in the district championship while the season is now over for LHS

— Dixie County 3, Fort White 1: The top-seeded Bears (8-5-2) took down the 4-seed Indians (7-10-1) in the District 2-2A semifinals in Mayo to advance to next week’s district championship against Branford. The loss ends the season for FWHS.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

— Fort White 56, The Rock 43: Zuri Hollie scored 15 points, Mariah Cox had 11, Jahlaya Wilson added 10 and Erickah Roberson chipped in eight to lead the Indians (13-8) over the Lions (8-10) on Senior Night for their fourth straight win.

— Taylor County 55, Lafayette 54: Despite 26 points from Havyn Richardson, 11 from Jada Copeland a near double-double from Sophia Kendrick (eight points, 11 rebounds), the Hornets (10-8) fell to the Bulldogs (12-5) at home.
