District tournaments got underway in soccer on Tuesday, while Branford was also in action on the hardwood.

BOYS SOCCER
— Columbia 7, Orange Park 1: Thanks to a hat trick from Josiah Hopkins and two more goals and an assist from Colyn Weatherspoon, the No. 3 seed Tigers (10-9-2) cruised past the 6-seed Raiders (3-12-1) in the District 3-5A quarterfinals at Tiger Stadium to keep their season alive. Eli Blackwell and Victor Dorante also scored for CHS while Gage Logan and Braxton Dicks each added an assist. Starting goalkeeper Logan Wheeldon didn’t allow a goal before being replaced by Mesina Sapp in the second half. The Tigers will now face No. 2 seed Clay in the district semifinals on Thursday at Fleming Island.
GIRLS SOCCER
— Fort White 3, Bell 2 (OT): Anndersn Fuller recorded a hat trick, including the game-winning goal in overtime to lift the No. 4 seed Indians (7-9-2) over the No. 5 seed Bulldogs (0-10-2) in the District 2-2A quarterfinals at Arrowhead Stadium. FWHS advances to face top-seeded Dixie County in the district semifinals on Friday at Lafayette.
— Branford 4, Hamilton County 2: The No. 3 seed Buccaneers (7-9-5) topped the No. 6 seed Trojans (0-13) in the District 2-2A quarterfinals at home to keep their season alive. BHS will now face 2-seed Lafayette in the semifinals on Friday.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
— Bronson 37, Branford 36: Andrea Schuler, Makenna Dean and Julianne Lampton each scored eight points to lead the Eagles (5-12) over the Buccaneers (6-11) in Branford. Callie Harris led the Bucs with a double-double of 10 points and 13 rebounds.
