    GIRLS SOCCER

    — Columbia 3, Keystone Heights 1: Niki Sossie scored two goals, Marlee Hunt scored another and Mia Brasel had an assist to lift the Tigers (1-0) over the Indians (0-1) at CYSA in their season opener. CHS goalkeeper Sadie Sparks made five saves.

    — Taylor County 4, Fort White 0: The Indians (0-1) were shut out by the Bulldogs (1-0) on the road in their season opener despite goalkeeper Analee Mills making 24 saves.

    — Newberry 4, Branford 2: Delilah Poore and Kayleigh Wardle each scored a goal, but the Buccaneers (0-1) fell to the Panthers (1-0) at home in their season opener. BHS goalkeeper Zoe Nahabetian made five saves in the loss.
