VOLLEYBALL

Columbia 3, Lafayette 0: Behind 13 kills, 18 digs and four aces from Sinei Wood, 10 kills from Kayla Goodloe, and eight kills apiece from Adriauna Combs and Cassidy O’Neal, the Tigers (13-8) swept the Class Rural No. 2 Hornets (16-3) 25-12, 26-24, 25-14 at home on Senior Night. Combs also had a team-high four blocks, Avery Sandlin added 17 digs while notching her 1,000th of her career, Martitza Patterson had 15 more digs, and Ava Christie had a team-high 29 assists.

— Branford 3, Union County 0: The Class Rural No. 1 Buccaneers swept the No. 7 Tigers 25-22, 25-16, 25-17 at home in District 6-R action.

— Suwannee 3, Bradford 0: The Bulldogs (14-7) followed up a sweep of Trenton on Monday with a 25-15, 25-22, 25-5 sweep of the Tornadoes (2-14) on the road.

— Newberry 3, Fort White 1: The Indians won the first set but dropped the next three, falling to the Panthers 17-25, 27-25, 25-17, 25-19 at home.

BOYS GOLF

Lafayette 161, Aucilla Christian 176, Madison County 185: Gavin Barnes took medalist honors with an even-par-36 to lead the Hornets to victory over the Warriors and Cowboys at Madison Country Club. Cooper Kerby and Hayden Thomas added a pair of 41s, while Jaxson McCray topped off the scoring for LHS with a 43.

— Suwannee 156, P.K. Yonge 167: Carter Cannon and Ty Hurst shared medalist honors with a pair of even-par-36s to lead the Bulldogs over the Blue Wave at Mark Bostick Golf Course. Dawson Wooley added a 41 and William Slaughter carded a 43 to cap the scoring.

BOYS SWIMMING

Suwannee 150, Columbia 49: The Bulldogs topped the Tigers behind victories from Cade Cannon in the 200 freestyle (2:06.15) and 500 freestyle (5:45.71), William Cerritos in the 50 freestyle (26:00) and 100 freestyle (57.35), Colt Abersold in the 100 butterfly (1:12.19) and 100 backstroke (1:11.25), and Jacob Kirkland in the 100 breaststroke (1:15.12). Cerritos, Kirkland and Abersold also swam with Reed Hurst on the winning 200 medley relay team (2:06.60), and those four also swam on the winning 200 freestyle relay team (1:46.19), while Cannon also helped Camden Swartz, Jonas Jernigan and Jace Hurst win the 400 freestyle relay. Baron Herget provided CHS with its lone victory in the 200 IM (2:30.38).

GIRLS SWIMMING

Columbia 125, Suwannee 119: The Tigers topped the Bulldogs behind victories from Casey Fair in the 200 IM (2:28.86) and 100 butterfly (1:08.78), and Brie Fair in the 100 backstroke (1:15.12) and 100 breaststroke (1:21.07). The Brie sisters also swam on the winning 200 medley relay team with Luciana Tonetti and Izzy Scott (2:11.42) and with Blythe Harrell and Scott on the winning 200 freestyle relay team (1:56.16), while Tonetti and Harrell helped Annie Glenn and Savannah Summerall win the 400 freestyle relay (4:56.44). Victories for SHS included Aubrey Baum in the 200 freestyle (2:25.49), Brooklyn Long in the 50 freestyle (29.26) and 100 freestyle (1:04.93), and Oliviah Schneider in the 500 freestyle (6:19.31).
