PREP ROUNDUP: Scores and stats from 10/14/24

BOYS GOLF

— Ponte Vedra 288, Fleming Island 301, Suwannee 330, St. Augustine 330, Santa Fe 333, Columbia 364: William Slaughter and Ty Hurst tied for 13th with a 79 to lead the Bulldogs to a third-place finish at the Suwannee Invitational at The Country Club of Lake City. Cooper Hackney also finished 20th with an 85 and Carter Cannon placed 23rd with an 87 for SHS. Adyn Petit led the sixth-place Tigers with an 84 to place 19th, while Valin Capen tied for 25th with a 90, Trenton Kirby tied for 27th with a 91, and Carson Culp finished 30th with a 99.

GIRLS GOLF

— Columbia 176, Suwannee 216: Ryan Donaldson won medalist honors with a 1-under-35, but the Tigers topped the Bulldogs at Suwannee Country Club behind a pair of 41s from Alison O’Brien and Megan Ruwe. Estella Bauer added a 46 and Angelina Goes carded a 48 to top off scoring for CHS. Other scorers for SHS were Kate Kirby with a 48, Layla Merola with a 62 and Sophie Ranck with a 71.

VOLLEYBALL

— Union County 3, Fort White 0: The No. 6 seed Indians (4-10) saw their season end in a 25-8, 25-9, 25-17 sweep by the No. 3 seed Tigers (15-8) in the District 6-R quarterfinals at Dixie County High.

BOYS SWIMMING

— Oak Hall 180, Columbia 57: Anderson Mitchell won the 200 freestyle (2:29.07) and 100 backstroke (1:19.56) while Baron Herget won the 200 IM (2:34.04) and 100 breaststroke (1:19.07), but the Tigers dropped their dual meet to the Eagles.

GIRLS SWIMMING

— Columbia 176, Oak Hall 104: The Tigers won all 11 events to top the Eagles in a dual meet, which included individual victories from Annie Glenn in the 200 freestyle (2:43.07), Casey Fair in the 200 IM (2:26.84) and 100 butterfly (1:07.92), Gabby Tonetti in the 50 freestyle (29.15), Izzy Scott in the 100 freestyle (1:09.50), Rowen Sheehan in the 500 freestyle (7:12.37), Brie Fair in the 100 backstroke (1:16.56) and 100 breaststroke (1:20.88). Luciana Tonetti, the Fair sisters and Scott also swam on the winning 200 medley relay team (2:13.34); Blythe Harrell, Scott, and the Fair sisters swam on the winning 200 freestyle relay team (1:57.59); and Savannah Summerall, Glenn, Tonetti and Harrell swam on the winning 400 freestyle relay team (4:46.96).
