— Branford 15, Hawthorne 1: The Buccaneers (6-6-1) run-ruled the Hornets (0-9) in five innings on the road Friday night behind 14 hits. Dawson Cannon was 2 for 3 with two RBIs and Tanner Miller also had two RBIs on a 3-for-4 night as did Brice Criggall, who went 2 for 2. Haiden Ward was 3 for 4 with an RBI, while Nathan Hill and Austin Humphries also had one RBI each. Miller pitched three innings and allowed just one hit for the win, striking out six and walking two. Caden Coker didn’t allow a hit in two innings, striking out four and walking two.
