Shaheed White scored 22 points as Columbia rallied to defeat Westminster Christian 75-66 in overtime in their final game of the Gold Championship Division at the Battle on the Island on Saturday at Fleming Island High School.
The Tigers trailed 32-29 at halftime and 46-45 heading to the fourth but forced OT behind a six-point quarter by White. Columbia (5-5) then outscored the Warriors 13-4 in the extra period.
In addition to White, Terrance Tolbert (12), Gavin Broomfield (11) and Kadrian Wilson (10) also finished in double figures for the Tigers. Mikel Morgan added eight while Zadrian Knowlton hits two 3-pointers as part of his seven points.
Columbia survived a 21-point performance from Lucas Crespo. Miguel Riggs also scored 20 and Chris Cueto finished with 14 for Westminster Christian (5-8).
The Tigers finished the tournament 2-1 and will have a week off before heading to Fort Myers for the Holiday Hoopfest at Bishop Verot High School. They open play Dec. 27 against Gateway Charter at 2 p.m.
