PREP ROUNDUP: Columbia finishes runner-up at Jill Darr Memorial

Columbia placed second at the Jill Darr Memorial on Thursday at Hawkstone Country Club, tallying a 335 total behind champion Fleming Island’s 307.

Karlee Gainey led the Tigers with a 1-over-73. Alison O’Brien was next for CHS with a 77, while Megan Ruwe carded an 83 and Rayna Hardin added a 102.

Suwannee's Ryan Donaldson recorded back-to-back eagles on the 16th and 17th holes to finish with a 73 and tied for fourth with Gainey.

GIRLS GOLF

Branford 195, Taylor County 214: Claire Bond shot a 39 as the Buccaneers tallied a season-low to top the Bulldogs in a dual match at Perry Golf and Country Club on Thursday. Also scoring for BHS were Bella Hobday with a 51, Wyllow Davis with a 52 and Kayleigh Wardle with a 53.

BOYS GOLF

— Suwannee 166, Madison County 184: Clayton Senea made his first career hole-in-one en route to a 34 to lead the Bulldogs over the Cowboys on Thursday at Suwannee Country Club. Also scoring for SHS were Mason Cameron with a 41, Cooper Lee with a 44 and Cooper Hackney with a 47.
