PREP ROUNDUP: Columbia beats Buchholz in girls basketball District 2-6A quarterfinals

Na'Haviya Paxton scored 16 points with six steals and six rebounds to lead No. 3 seed Columbia past No. 6 seed Buchholz 50-37 at home in the District 2-6A quarterfinals on Tuesday.

Anzarria Jerkins added 11 points with four steals while Tyalor Ivery finished with eight points and Bree Dixon had seven.

The Lady Tigers (20-5) will travel to No. 2 seed Leon for the district semis on Friday.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

No. 4 seed Bell ended No. 5 seed Fort White's season with a 62-50 win in the District 6-1A quarterfinals on Tuesday.

The Lady Indians finished the year with a 6-10 record.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Fort White topped Taylor County 67-54 on the road Tuesday night.

The Indians (7-12) travel to Columbia for their regular-season finale on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
