Columbia competed at the New World Fall Spectacular on Saturday at New World Golf in Jacksonville, where the boys placed 13th out of 29 teams and the girls finished 11th out of 17 teams.
The boys were led once again by Nolan Martin, who placed 27th in the open high school race in a time of 18:19. Martin was followed by teammates Brandyn Pope in 51st (19:08), Nathan Matsubara in 58th (19:23), Timmy Todd in 103rd (20:30), Dylan Aspenwall in 115th (20:50) and Jacob McLeod in 172nd (22:21).
The girls were led by Morgan Golden for the second consecutive race, finishing 42nd out of 184 runners in a time of 23:46. She was followed by teammates Abigail Candler in 66th (25:12), Laelle Thompson in 77th (25:49), Kiara Thompson in 96th (26:36). Mallory Golden in 115th (27:31), Yulin Chen in 120th (27:35) and Kensi Shaw in 121st (27:43).
COOPER LEADS FORT WHITE
Daelyn Cooper placed 34th out of 74 runners at the Trinity Catholic Celtic Invitational on Saturday, posting a time of 26:12.80 as the Fort White girls finished eighth out of nine teams. Raffaellie Carreras was next in line for the Indians in 44th (27:04.20), followed by teammates Zeta Toundas in 48th (27:22.20), Madison Bishop in 56th (28:17.30) and Keagan Ayers in 66th (30:38.70).
