Leon jumped on Columbia early Saturday and cruised to a 6-1 in a District 2-6A matchup in Lake City.

The Lions (10-8) scored six runs in the first four innings off of starting pitcher Cole Williams, who was charged with five earned runs on seven hits, two walks and a hit batter with four strikeouts.

The Tigers (9-8) were inconsistent defensively again, committing four errors. And offensively they drew seven walks but only managed four hits, with two coming via Mason Gray, who scored his team's lone run in the first inning after Leon struck for three in the top half of the frame.

Ty Wehinger pitched the final three innings for Columbia and didn't allow a hit or walk. He had one strikeout.
