GAINESVILLE — Antewan Webber picked up the pace after a slow start by scoring 20 points of his 27 points in the second half, 11 of which came from the free throw line, to help Florida Gateway College top Santa Fe College 84-77 on the road Thursday night.

A key moment in the game came when Kevin Pazmino hit a timely 3-pointer to give the Saints a 75-74 lead with a 1:52 left. But in the final two minutes of the game, Webber hit back-to-back 3s to give the Timberwolves an 80-75 lead.

The Timberwolves (4-3) shot 78% from the free throw line, while the Saints (4-1) shot a disappointing 58%, which proved to be the biggest difference in the game. Macius Trowe led Santa Fe with 15 points.

FGC returns home to host Coastal Alabama-North on Saturday at 2 p.m.
