COLLEGE TRACK & FIELD: CHS alum Collins brings home bronze medal at U23 NACAC Championships

A Columbia High alum brought home a bronze medal at the U23 NACAC Championships in Costa Rica this weekend.

Asherah Collins, who graduated from CHS in 2020 and now competes at UCF, placed third in the triple jump with a 13.04m mark while representing Team USA. It capped off a stellar summer where Collins garnered her first Second Team All-America honor in her third appearance at the National Championships last month in Austin, Texas.

Collins won a state title at Columbia back in 2019. She has two years of eligibility left at UCF, which moves into the Big 12 conference next season.
