BOYS BASKETBALL: Columbia falls to Ribault on Day 2 of Battle on the Island

One day after defeating Mandarin 80-66, Columbia’s offense went cold in a 57-42 loss to Ribault on Friday in the Battle on the Island at Fleming Island High School.

Caleb Williams led the Trojans (8-3) with 22 points and Jamian Jackson added 14. Zamarion Jones led the Tigers (4-4) with 13 points — 12 in the first quarter — and Jalen Gaskins finished with 10.

Ribault used a 22-point second quarter to build a 35-22 lead at halftime and then led 51-30 after three quarters.

CHS will face Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences in the final game of the tournament today at 1 p.m.
