HILLIARD — King McMillian scored 23 points to lead top-seeded Hilliard to a 71-46 win over No. 3 seed Hilliard in the District 5-R championship Saturday night.
James Foster also finished in double figures with 14 points while Shane Harvey II chipped in nine points for the Red Flashes (17-5). Lorenzo Hall and Jaidyn Davis added eight points apiece as well.
With the loss, the Buccaneers (12-14) likely saw their season come to a close. They had entered districts sitting in sixth in Region 3-R with a -3.951 rating, more than six points back of Hamilton County (3.303) for the final playoff spot.
