FHP: SUV ran off Branford Highway on Tuesday afternoon.
A Suwannee County woman was killed Tuesday afternoon when her SUV ran off of State Road 247.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol release, the 37-year-old O’Brien woman was headed south on SR 247 (Branford Highway) when her SUV drove off the road near the intersection with SW Callahan Avenue and County Road 252B around 4:25 p.m.
The FHP release said once the SUV left SR 247 if hit two signal supports before crashing into a tree on someone’s property.
According to FHP, the woman was transported to HCA Lake City Hospital but she died there.
The woman was not wearing a seatbelt, according to FHP.
