LIVE OAK — A motorcyclist was killed Thursday evening when a vehicle turned in front of his bike.

The 34-year-old Live Oak man was heading north on State Road 51 when a southbound SUV tried to turn left in front of him around 6 p.m. at the intersection with County Road 250, causing a crash.

The biker, who was not wearing a helmet, died at the scene, FHP states.

The driver of the SUV, a 30-year-old Live Oak woman, and two passengers — both toddlers — were transported to HCA Florida Suwannee ER with minor injuries. Another passenger in the SUV, a 51-year-old woman, was not injured.

FHP continues to investigate the crash.
