CARRAWAY — A Live Oak man was killed Tuesday morning when his car crossed over the center line and hit another car on State Road 100 in Putnam County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 34-year-old Live Oak man was traveling east on SR 100 at 7 a.m. Tuesday when his sedan exited the eastbound lane and crossed into the westbound lane where it sideswiped a sedan heading westbound.
The FHP release adds the Live Oak man’s car also smashed into the front of an SUV that was also headed westbound near Roberts Lane. The driver of the SUV, a 38-year-old Palatka woman, was also killed in the crash.
According to FHP, the Live Oak man was not wearing a seatbelt. The Palatka woman was wearing a seatbelt.
A passenger in the SUV, a 12-year-old Palatka boy, suffered serious injuries. He also was wearing a seatbelt.
The driver of the other sedan, a 30-year-old Palatka man, suffered only minor injuries. He also was wearing a seatbelt.
