Waffle House, vehicles hit by gunfire

More than the hashbrowns were scattered early Wednesday morning at Waffle House.

According to the Lake City Police Department, gunfire struck the restaurant at 348 SW Baya Avenue just before 1 a.m., as well as a pair of vehicles. Nobody was injured.

Officers stopped one vehicle reported to possibly have been involved in the gunfire, but the LCPD release states all occupants inside were cleared of any involvement.

Witnesses were unable to provide a description of the shooter, according to LCPD.

One of the vehicles struck by gunfire, as well as the restaurant, were occupied at the time of the shooting.
