Weekend gunfire in three locations resulted in two vehicles and one transformer being hit, according to authorities.
A Lake City Police Department release states officers responded to reports of gunfire Friday night, early Sunday morning and again Sunday night, all on the north side of the city.
The gunfire Friday was reported at 8:42 a.m. along NE Coach Anders Lane, although officers were unable to locate any evidence or damage.
At 12:02 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to NE Aberdeen Avenue due to a report of gunfire, including a vehicle that was possibly involved.
According to the release, officers stopped the vehicle and all occupants were cleared of being involved.
Two vehicles, though, were struck by gunfire according to witnesses, who were unable to describe the shooter. The release states a transformer on NE Davis Avenue was also hit. Officers located and collected 20 shell casings and one bullet as evidence.
Gunfire was reported at the Cedar Park Apartments on NW Bascom Norris Drive at 11:04 p.m. Sunday where officers collected two shell casings as evidence.
